Pyrography

The slow scorching of a hot point. No ink, no paint. Just a patient conversation between fire and form, a pattern blooming into the grain as if the soul of the wood were rising to meet the heat. It's an old craft, this. Pyrography, though I like to think of it as drawing with embers. Born of patience and a steady hand, it's not a thing to be rushed… you must listen to the wood, or you'll not hear what it wants to become. So if you have a story waiting in a piece of wood, or a memory you'd see given form, my fire is always banked and ready. Find me through the chat on Heksedans.com, by email, or through that little window on Instagram.
