Helheimr is the lowest of the Nine Realms in the Nordic story world. This underground place is the realm of the dead, and it is ruled by Hel – half-goddess and jötunn. As a resting place for the majority of the dead, this is not a place of punishment but simply a residence of the deceased. Those who have died of illness or old age were sent into the underworld, where they may never leave.

*For burning resin incense, I recommend using premium bamboo charcoal made for incense and hookah. It has almost no odor and burns more clean. For indoors I highly recommend that you use a pinch of incense with only a 1/4 piece of charcoal to avoid an overabundance of smoke. Outdoors, use a whole charcoal and as much incense as desired.
